AIOps and AI SRE,
done right.
Where the category came from, where it's going, and where NuAura.Ai sits.
What AIOps was
AIOps began as a way to cut through alert noise — correlating signals so on-call engineers weren't buried. Useful, but reactive: it still assumed something had already broken.
What "AI SRE" became
The current wave of AI SRE agents added autonomy: detect, investigate, perform RCA, and remediate with minimal human input. A real step forward — but it created two new problems. First, it's still fundamentally a response to incidents that already reached production. Second, much of it is opaque: autonomous action you can't see, explain, or audit, which is a non-starter in regulated environments.
What comes next: Autonomous Reliability Engineering
Autonomous Reliability Engineering (ARE) shifts the goal from resolve faster to prevent and prove. An ARE platform:
- works leading indicators to stop incidents before customer impact,
- explains every prediction and action,
- keeps a human in control with bounded, reversible, audited autonomy,
- and connects reliability to business outcomes.
Where NuAura.Ai fits
The Autonomous Reliability Engine.
NuAura.Ai does the AIOps job (noise reduction, correlation) and the AI SRE job (autonomous RCA and remediation) — but leads with prevention, explainability, governance, and deployment flexibility, including fully on-prem.
